No account, no upload
There is no sign-up and no file upload. The only thing you send is a public page URL, and it is discarded once the episode list comes back.
What this site receives when you paste a link, what advertising adds to that picture, and how to switch personalised ads off.
Effective date: October 24, 2026
There is no sign-up and no file upload. The only thing you send is a public page URL, and it is discarded once the episode list comes back.
Advertising is served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to choose and measure ads. You can turn personalised ads off at any time.
No personal data is sold, rented, or traded. There is no mailing list, no profile, and no cross-site tracking built by this site.
DLShort (the site at this domain) is an independent, free utility that reads publicly accessible short-drama pages and prepares the episodes those pages already expose so you can keep an offline copy.
For data-protection purposes, the operator of this domain is the data controller for the limited processing described below. The contact address for this site is about@dlshort.com; the routes for privacy and data requests are described in section 10.
When you paste a link into the workspace, that URL is sent to our resolver endpoint so the server can open the public page on your behalf and read its episode list. The URL is the only content you transmit. We do not ask for, want, or accept platform account credentials, cookies, or payment details.
The URL and the public page data it returns are held in an in-memory cache for a few minutes so that repeated requests for the same episode do not hit the platform again. That cache is cleared when the process restarts. We do not write the URLs you paste into a permanent database, and we do not build a history of what any visitor resolved.
Like every website, requests to this site reach a server, and that server necessarily sees the information your browser sends: an IP address, a user-agent string, the page or API path requested, and the time of the request.
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf and keeps standard security and traffic logs under its own retention schedule. We do not receive those logs as a browsable visitor history.
Our API uses the IP address for one purpose only: rate limiting, so that a single client cannot exhaust the resolver for everyone else. The counter lives in memory, keyed by IP, and expires within 5 to 10 minutes. It is not written to disk, not joined to any other data, and not used to profile you.
The site itself does not set cookies to run the downloader. There is no login cookie, no preference cookie, and no first-party analytics cookie.
Advertising is a different matter. We use Google AdSense to fund the service, and Google as a third-party vendor uses cookies to serve ads on this site. The full list, including the cookies that appear once advertising is enabled, is on the Cookie Policy page.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting https://www.aboutads.info/choices or https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, advertising cookies are only set after you consent through the consent message shown on your first visit, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the same message. Visitors who decline still see ads; the ads are simply not personalised.
Advertising partners may include Google's network of publishers and demand partners. Where a partner requires its own disclosure, Google's vendor list at https://business.safety.google/adsservices/ identifies it and links to that vendor's own policy.
Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, TLS, and abuse protection for this domain. Cloudflare processes request metadata as part of delivering the site.
Google AdSense — advertising. Subject to the consent rules in section 5, Google may set advertising and measurement cookies and receive your IP address, user-agent, and the page you are viewing.
The short-drama platforms themselves — when you resolve a link, our server requests the public page from that platform's own servers. The platform sees our server's request, not yours, so no platform learns your IP address from a download you start here.
These are the only third parties involved in serving the site today. If an analytics or consent tool is added later, it will be listed here and in the Cookie Policy before it is switched on.
We do not sell or share personal information with data brokers. We do not run a newsletter, so we never ask for your email. We do not fingerprint your browser, we do not read the contents of your device, and we do not track you across other websites with our own technology.
Files you prepare are assembled inside your browser from media your browser fetched. They are saved to a folder you pick. We never receive a copy of a downloaded file.
Pasted URLs and cached episode data: minutes, in memory only, then gone.
Rate-limit counters keyed by IP: 5 to 10 minutes, in memory only, then reset.
Standard server and security logs held by the hosting provider: per that provider's own retention schedule, and used for security and debugging rather than for marketing.
Advertising and consent records held by Google: per Google's own retention policies, which you can review in Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because this site keeps no account and no permanent record tied to you, in most cases there is nothing stored to retrieve — but you are still entitled to ask.
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Under Brazil's LGPD you may contact the national authority (ANPD). Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; this site does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and it does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics.
To exercise any of these rights, use the contact route in section 10. Requests about advertising cookies specifically can be answered faster by using the Google Ads Settings and consent-message controls described in section 5.
This site is operated by an individual developer. For privacy questions, takedown requests, or data requests, email about@dlshort.com with the subject line "Privacy request", and include the detail you want us to look at. Rights-holder takedown requests are handled separately and answered within three working days; the About page describes what to include.
If this policy changes materially — for example if a new advertising partner or an analytics tool is added — the revised policy will be published on this page with a new effective date, and the change will be listed in the Cookie Policy when cookies are affected. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. There is no account to create and no profile to fill in.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to this site, email about@dlshort.com and it will be removed.
This policy applies to the downloader at this domain only. Media hosted on the short-drama platforms is governed by those platforms' own privacy policies, not by this one.
